The collectable nature of paintings by Barbara Bays keeps their values going up. Prices are subject to change. The artist is sensitive to the natural desire to keep the cost of commissioned paintings to a minimum and will work with clients on an individual basis.
Since no two paintings are alike, prices for paintings are based upon the individual work. Type of pet, more than one pet or person, added objects of interest, background and the finished size of the artwork are all determining factors. The quality of reference photos provided, the necessity of creating a "composite image" from several photographs or the need for the artist to take additional photos of the pets or persons might also contribute to determining the final cost.
All prices quoted are for artwork only, unframed and unmatted. Transportation of photographs, drawings and paintings are the responsibility of the client. Postage in both directions is paid by the client. Artist recommends that all shipping be insured and cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.
Only museum-grade, professional quality, acid free, archival materials are used in all artwork. Winsor & Newton watercolors and oils, Arches and Strathmore, 100% acid free papers and cotton or linen canvases are used to ensure longevity.
